Context
Independent projects provide a way to test ideas end to end: clarify a need, build a small product, put it in front of real people, and learn from the response.
Work
I have built two application betas with Codex and Claude Code, including Seeds, a consumer prayer app with an active user-feedback loop. I have also shipped three production websites, including patricksaul.com and a basic conversational agent.
Tools and judgment
The work has included Claude, GPT, Gemini, Llama, CrewAI, agent SDKs, MCP, Codex, and Claude Code, along with production Claude Skills and Gemini Gems. The point is not to use every tool. It is to choose a small, useful solution and keep learning from the people who use it.
